4. Booking requests and confirmations
French Maison operates a request-to-book model.
When you submit a booking request:
this is a request only, not a confirmed booking
no contract for the villa stay is formed at that stage
availability must first be checked and confirmed
we may contact you to clarify details, confirm suitability, or discuss next steps
A booking is only confirmed once:
availability has been confirmed
the required booking details have been accepted
any required payment has been received
confirmation has been issued to you
Until then, French Maison may be unable to guarantee the property, dates, or quoted price.
5. Payments
Where a booking moves forward after availability is confirmed, French Maison will explain the payment process, including any deposit, balance due date, and applicable payment terms.
Unless otherwise stated:
no payment is taken at the initial booking request stage
deposit and balance timing will be confirmed as part of the booking process
bookings may be subject to staged payments, including a deposit and later balance payment
failure to pay by the required date may result in cancellation of the booking
French Maison reserves the right not to confirm a booking until cleared funds have been received where required.
6. Cancellations and changes
Cancellation and amendment terms may vary depending on the villa, owner, supplier, or booking partner involved.
Any applicable cancellation terms, amendment conditions, or non-refundable amounts will be made clear during the booking process or in the booking confirmation documentation.
If you need to request a change or cancellation, please contact French Maison as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that changes will be possible once a booking has been confirmed.
7. Third-party suppliers and booking partners
French Maison may work with selected booking partners, suppliers, owners, or property managers in order to arrange and fulfil villa stays.
This means:
some bookings may be fulfilled or supported by third-party partners
additional supplier or property-specific terms may apply
you may be asked to accept further booking conditions depending on the property or supplier involved
French Maison will aim to make the process clear and explain any additional terms where relevant.
8. Guest responsibilities
It is your responsibility to ensure that:
all guest names and details provided are accurate
your party complies with any occupancy limits, villa rules, or special conditions
you review all booking information carefully before confirming
you have appropriate passports, visas, insurance, and travel documents where required
you comply with all local laws, property rules, and check-in/check-out requirements
French Maison is not responsible for issues arising from incorrect information provided by you.
9. Travel insurance
We strongly recommend that all guests take out suitable travel insurance at the time of booking request or booking confirmation, including cover for cancellation, medical issues, travel disruption, and other unexpected events.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, French Maison shall not be liable for:
any indirect or consequential loss
loss arising from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by third parties
changes to villa availability, pricing, or features before booking confirmation
events outside our reasonable control, including owner decisions, force majeure events, travel disruption, or supplier failures
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or any matter that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.
11. Website content and intellectual property
All text, branding, design, graphics, imagery, layout, and website content on French Maison are owned by or licensed to French Maison unless otherwise stated.
You may view and use this content for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, republish, distribute, or exploit any part of the site without our prior written consent.
