General Description

This is a charming family home built around 1850, located in a landscaped park of 3000sq.m, in a quite location and only 5 kms from the center of the famous village Saint Remy de Provence. The Mas offers total privacy and allows everyone to have their activity, be it swimming in the pool, playing croquet on the lawn or dining under the pergola.

The house can accommodate up to 10 people preferably 8 adults and 2 children, ideal for a vacation with friends or family. It has 5 bedrooms, one on the ground floor and 4 upstairs, 4 of them with air conditioning, all with garden views.

The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a bath and shower and there are 2 further bathrooms upstairs, each with a shower and WC. The downstairs bedroom has its own shower room and WC next to it. Downstairs you will find a spacious living room with comfortable sofas, fireplace, office area and a separate library area full of books and games in English. This space is also a practical corner for children. The property has Wi-Fi, satellite TV French and English channels, video player, a Bose sound system and a printer. The living room and kitchen open onto a charming vine-covered terrace overlooking the garden with a table that can seat 12 people around a barbecue. As a whole, the house is very well equipped, especially the kitchen, with cooker range and American Fridge/freezer with ice dispenser, everything is there!

Outside the well maintained park and garden with its lawns and mature shrubs offers total privacy and allows everyone to have their activity, be it the long pool 11 x 6 or playing or dining under the pergola. There is also a sandpit for children in a shaded part of the garden. 10 sun loungers and 2 hammocks are available. You can choose to sit in the shade of the trees or in the sun. Near the house there are also sun loungers, benches and comfortable armchairs for having an aperitif with a view of the garden.
There is also an ample parking.

Local Area / Activities

St Remy-de-Provence is a charming classical little town, capital of the Alpilles with all the amenities, boulangeries, little boutiques, quaint pavement cafes and excellent restaurants. On its winding cobbled lanes you will discover the small squares, historic buildings, churches and museums and on Wednesday the colourful weekly market will offer you the opportunity to discover local products and handicrafts which is a must to see.

The landscape in this region is particularly picturesque, encompassing rolling hills dotted with quaint hilltop villages and countless hiking trails, extensive sunflower fields, olive groves. This region is steep with history, with plenty of sites to visit such as Les Baux de Provence (considered 'one of the most beautiful villages' in France), Avignon, Arles, Nîmes and Uzès and other towns that you can easily visit in a day, and at only 45 minutes' drive and to the east is the Luberon region and further south, Camargue's unique wetland populated by pink flamingos and wild horses.
